I've always thought this meant something like "Wide F---ing Open", which struck
me as descriptive but not terribly subtle. And then, on a long cold ride
recently, some other possibilities came to mind:

Wrist Folded Over -- plausible, but painful
Wound Flat Out -- more likely
Waiting For [an] Opening -- not at all likely
Watching For Otter -- in this group it would be WFL

So, are any of these close? It's been keeping me up nights.

Nope. The clueless ones should be obvious.

The idea here is that Keith said that he thought it might mean:
"Wide Fucking Open"

Speedy responded that it meant:
"Wide Fucking Open"

Micheal found this amusing in that Speedy was not paying attention to his
posting.

You, sir, blew it altogether. Much more amusing than Speedy's gaff.

Later,
Mike

This is true. In Oxford our language was gentle because the objects
of our vituperation were Triumphs, BSAs and Vincents. It wasn't until
I became involved with Harleys that I was truly inspired to the
heights of obscenity. Fuck Harley! Gosh, that's much better than

Yup. I got it. I got it along time ago, and I continue to get it often. :-)
