you're tired and frustrated, shun the big fucking hammer.

New part supposed to arrive on Monday. Vacation and
bright sunny weather predicted every day between now
and arrival of the part. Work and shite weather sure to follow.
Merry Christmas anyway y'all.

Never mind the hammer, down all tools when you're tired, I've
learned this one the hard way.

Perfect. I (and my misery) needed company!

And a Merry Christmas to you and yours as well, Rob.
A merry Christmas to you too. I'll be getting up early and heading North
in the car to go visit my younger bro and some nephews. As godless
heathens there is no Christmas tree or presents.(but I'll take the days
off!! :) )
A mate has generously taken my bike away so he can get to the Cemetery
Circuit races on boxing day. I hope he has fun!! those M1's are half
flogged already....I knew the sticky tyres would wear quickly, but the
way it's going I'll be lucky to get 5,000km!!.....I'll be going back to
Z6's as they can handle a bit of gravel way better than the M1's, which
just shred. :(
Put tire chains on the motherfucker and keep riding.
Putting chains on you isn't gonna help Rob.

My thought entirely. I got the 250 fired up last weekend and went on a
barely necessary trip to the Asian food wholesaler a few miles away more
to *get on a bloody bike* than to buy spices etc.

I managed a ride to work last friday . Between rain storms and
below-freezing weather , looks like I'll be lucky to get a day or two a
month until spring ... unless Santa brings those 'lectric gloves I've been
lusting after .

What are you doing buying Asian food when you otta be
supporting your own UK farmers with home-grown products like
Yorkshire pudding, Cheshire cheese, Welsh rarebit, Cornish game hens,
Scotch broth, Aberdeen Nips, Salisbury steak, Worcestershire sauce
and the Roast Beef of Olde England.
ps. Merry Christmas!

That's not engrish. 8^) It is however a simple means of feeding people
and separating the real men and women from the dross...you know people
like, oh, let's say, mussilini, marcos, hillary swank, jane fonda. You
know spineless broken wristed freaks that want to control your life.
Traditionally served by Scots on those special
occasions when the English come to dinner.
Neither is Scotch broth. Not sure about Welsh rarebit. Since
the OP mentioned UK foods as opposed to English foods, I felt
haggis deserved mention.
I had haggis in Scotland once. I didn't really care for it.
Give me steak and kidney pie any day. Now that's some good
eatin'.

I actually like it....

Heathen!

Ah, yes, indeed it is. Steak and kidney pudding, IMHO, is even better.
I will say this for the British--your stomachs are stronger than ours.
Tried steak and kidney pie once. I will say that it probably beats
starvation. How anybody could _like_ it though is a mystery. One good
thing--it cured Tigger the Obnoxious Tomcat of trying to steal my dinner.
I'm glad software like this isn't running the Strategic Defense
System.

True, but I included only edibles with UK place names. Sandwiches
being named after John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich, PC, FRS

Ah! missed the double pun eh? Getting old are you? 8^)
DUH! The weakun's don't come back the ones that do...well even the bad
ones are worth getting to know aren't they. Around here we have winter

can't take the weather, the rest learn to deal with or LOVE the
weather. 8^)

Stilton cheese?
Newcastle Brown ale... (yum!)
I only get the export newcastle...not that exciting. s'okay, I guess.
But I've a nice thick bodied, rich brown ale less than 200mi away that
is pretty darn good. Even if the name puts the week kneed off their
cups "Moose Drool" 8^)

I tried to reply yesterday but couldn't. I've been having connection
issues 75% of the time(with 480 "Not Authorized" for a week and more.
Even when it connects data rate has been around a snail's pace.

Nope right on the back porch where I can see the the Rockies, Glacier
N'tl park OR in Salmon Id after making a nice spirited (read well over
the speed limit) run from Missoula... Missoula to Salmon, ID on US93
can get your attention just looking it up on google map or mapquest.
8^) Actually more fun than GTTSR and almost the giggle that LGMR is.
<sigh> damn PMS.
Got things all put back together Saturday in time for
a test ride. Pea soup fog, couldn't see a damn thing,
nobody to hang out with. Great to be back on the road.
After destroying a U-joint during installation, got the
help of somebody who knows what he's doing. With
four hands and a machinist's vise, things went together
right this time.
Today was a glorious sunny day with 50 degree temps
and some great riding. Just enough sand, mud and
leaf mulch in the corners to make it interesting. Life
is good again.
For you maybe. Our roads are still covered with snow and ice. ;-)
Congrats to you though. I know how good it feels when one can get back
in the saddle after a while off the bike. I am hoping to experience it
again sometime before spring.
Thanks.
My resolution for the new year is to always remember that you
can't restore hardware from a backup copy when you screw up.
Probably just as well that I didn't seek a career in wrenching or
dentistry.

Ouch, bad timing Rob. I have a dentist appointment tomorrow. Now I
have visions of my dentist using a chisel and a dremel as opposed to
the high tech tools. <g>
Those ARE the high tech tools...they just package them differently
that's all. ;^) Good luck and don't forget a handkerchief to wipe your
chin with after.
Yeah the fun part is I have to chair a rather important meeting, if
there is such a thing, after. It will be good for a laugh.
Meetings are mankinds method for slowing down out of control progress.
8^) Or were you saying the dental appointment would be a good laugh
after the meeting? ;^)
Yeah it could work that way too.
I have two measures for a successful meeting. I leave with no notes
and no take-a-ways. Hell often I don't even take a pencil with me. <g>
lol good plan. As long as it isn't death by PP...I HATE PP it's a bane
on transfering information adn conveying data clearly.
