how do I remove seat from Goldwing?

not sure about 1984 but my 1999 you remove the grab handles and the seat comes out.

that I have a new seat for. I can't figure
out how to remove the old seat. Can
anyone help with some information?

There are two bolts holding the seat on, about midway back along each side. Once those are removed, you should be able to slide the seat slightly forward, and then off.

you have to remove the saddle bag lids, there are 2 bolts that need to be
removed, 1 on each side, slide the seat aft and lift on the backside of the
seat

remove rear lugage box

remove both side bag covers

abt 1/2 way back from the front of the bags (under the seat) is a bolt
(alen head on mine - one on each side) remove them - keeping the
latching @ spring things in order please....

slide seat to the back and remove.... (lift up)

you MAY have to remove the old seat latcher/side slides and install on
the new seat... (I did so) lube as needed for ease of movement - trial
fit - bolt in and HAVE fun !!!!

BTW - while you are in there - have a look around at the wires and
things, CHECK and CLEAN what you can see.....
