I doubt I'll be much good at that. I spent Friday in the pits so didn't
really keep track of who did what.
I'll add what I know...

Sunday was pretty bad. There were lots of accidents and unfortunately,
many resulted in transports. There are quite a few races missing from
the following list 'cause I don't remember the finishing order or the
details of the race. I'll probably recognized many of the ones that
are missing when I hear them but seem to have lost those brain cells
during the past week.
Heres the results I remember with a quick comment on each race...
Suzuki Cup:
1100cc - Both the Suzuki Cup races were fantastic, though they were
both run on a wet track. The 1100 race was run on a wet but drying
track, so traction was much better than during the earlier 750 race.
After numerous wrecks in qualifying on Saturday (on a wet track), many
of the fast guys were starting from the back row. This made for
exciting racing they charged up through the field.)

750cc - The 750 race was held in the rain on a track with standing water.
This lead to numerous accidents and numerous red flags. I believe there
were three red flags total. I don't remember the finishing order but here
are my guesses:
1 McDaniels ?
2 Chuck Graves ?
3 David Patterson ?
Forumla USA:
Heat 1 - Heat 1 was run just before the 750cc Suzuki Cup, so the track
conditions were similiar: wet. Martin took advantage of his Endurance
racing training and jus walked away, winning by 12 or more seconds.
This race was red flagged once as Sandowski went down in 7, Quarterley
went off track in 1 and Glenn Szarek punched his Yamaha into the hay
bales in 1. Ski wasn't able to make the restart, while Szarek got on
Taylor's bike, bumping Taylor out. Mike Harth had a fantastic fight with
Quarterley, only to loose it exiting turn 11 trying to pass 1/4ley for
second.
1 Michael Martin
2 Dale Quarterley
3 ?
Heat 2 - A drying track made for much closer racing. Martin got off to a
good start but 1/4ley and Graves picked up the pace after getting some
confidence in the track and made for a tight, 3 way battle for the lead.
1/4ley was maniacal passing into turn 1. 1/4ley one by a bike length,
while I think Graves was balked by Martin and relegated to 3rd.
1 Dale Quarterley
2 Michael Martin
3 Chuck Graves
Formula II - With Oliver injured (during a wreck in F-USA qualifying),
Sorenson just walked all over the 250 competition, winning by a huge
margin.
1 Chuck Sorenson
2 ?
3 ?
Forumla III - Another walk away. The battle for second was closer but
I don't remember the name of the kid that was involved. John Ulrich
was also near the front.
1 Chris Rodgers
2 ?
3 ?
Eudurance - Another flawless win for Team Suzuki. Fortunately, Pearls
did a good job of keeping up a threat and Northwest Honda for really
pressuring Pearls. As a complete surprise, all the Supersport bikes
had a mandatory teardown after the race, drastically rearranging the
final finishing order and changing the points race in at least one of
the season finishes.
1 Team Suzuki
2 Pearls
3 Northwest Honda
D Superbike - Was run in the rain. I didn't keep up with any of the top
three finishes as I was watching some dices for position lower in the
field.
1 ?
2 ?
3 ?
C ? - Was a great race with the front few bikes constantly swapping places.
A few frantic, last minute battles resulted in a few wrecks, one a
dramatic bike-destruction (rider okay) in turn 11 as the 4th place bike
caught up and tried to pass the 3rd place bike.
1 Mike Reed
2 ?
3 ?
Seca II Challenge - This ended up being a battle of attrition with only 10
finishers of 18? starters. (Yamaha was paying money to the top 10).
The race for the least was very exciting until a few laps from the
finish when one of the two contesting the lead went down.

Rentzell was DQ'D because of a shaved head. No $5000 but he got the
TV exposure & the podium, etc...

This race was shortened due to Daryl Saylor's 750 blowing up. It
was red flagged at lap 6 or 7 & scored back to lap 5. Pete Martins
lead up the hill w/myself & Graves close behind on lap 1. I
passed Martins easilly coming out of turn 5 & lead the next 3 laps
w/Graves VERY close in my draft. At the start of lap 4 Graves
passed me coming into 1 but overcooked it & I repassed. He then
drafted by coming thru Gravity Cavity. Lap 5 was a replay of
4 when Graves overcooked turn 1 again(I think). Graves drafted
by again & pulled out a 1/2 second lead. Unknowingly, Tom
Wilson had been lapping in the mid 1:26's while we were in the
low 1:27's. Tom caught & passed me in the cavity & was surely on
his way to get by Graves when the red flag stopped the race & it
was scored back to lap 5 where they had me second to Graves w/Wilson
in third. My hats off the Tom. He was definately the class of the
field that day starting from the second wave.

I wasn't aware that hairstyles were of concern to the sanctioning bodies. I
can just see it. "Son, that was a great race. But that haircut.... We just
can't tolerate that sort of thing at the national level."
