>I've just heard that Mick Lofthouse and Rob Holden have been killed!
>Both at the TT - Rob at Glen Helen, Mick at the 23rd Milestone.
>Don't know what happened or anything more than that - hoping it's not
>true.....but.....
>This is awful - anyone getting killed is bad but two great racers.....
>Sympathies.....
I read this yesterday on BBC Ceefax service. Today I read on Ceefax
that Holden was the leading qualifier in Formula 1, and Lofthouse was
in the top ten in the junior or something.
This seemed to be in bad taste to me, unless the original information
was wrong, but unfortunately I doubt that.

Correction - the information is still there today!!
Holden top qualifier in singles. Lofthouse top qualifier in
Lightweight.
Their deaths were, however, mentioned on Radio 1 news.

Oh no! Our news-server was sick all weekend and this has only just
arrived. Rob was a friend while he was in Vancouver. Damn!
