Manx TT isn't that bad but it's nothing as real as the Honda Castrol
game. As for the duke bit what's the worst part is that you race
against one but you don't have the option of riding one. Talk about a
slap in the face. Maybe if enough people write to the company
Interactive Entertainment, they'll consider doing another one on a
different bike.
Guess whaaaaat. You can ride the other bikes!

And thanks right back at ya for the ability to change bikes! Not only do you
get to choose the bike, but you get THAT bikes attributes! After racing just
a couple of laps on each of the initial 13, I have come to a few conclusions.
I have listed what I consider the 3 strongest points of each make of bike,
from best to lacking.
Honda-Top Speed, Handling, Braking, Acceleration
Ducati-Handling, Top Speed, Acceleration, Braking
Yamaha<?>-All Around
Kawasaki-Braking, Handling, Acceleration, Top Speed
Suzuki-Braking, Handling, Top Speed, Acceleration
This would suggest that when you race against computer opponents, they are
dealing with these attributes as well. This can affect your strategy. Trying
to pass a Honda topped out, on board a Kawasaki is pretty pointless, but you
should have no problem diving under him at the turn up ahead. >;)
Keep in mind these are just my initial impressions, I didn't do any actual
point-to-point runs to test acceleration or top speed.
By editing the first number in the line "ModelTypes:" in the MAGDEMO.CFG you
can choose from the following bikes: (thanks to pete for pointing this out)
0=#2 Castrol Honda
1=#3 Castrol Honda
2=#15 Ducati
3=#13 Ducati<?>
4=#11 Ducati<?>
5=#3 Yamaha<?>
6=#21 Kawasaki
7=#19 Kawasaki
8=#7 Yamaha<?>
9=#5 Suzuki
10=#23 Not Sure, possibly Kawi. Handles Great.
11=#17 Ducati
12=#9 Ducati
The Kawasaki seems to be the strongest bike on the game. It is very
"flickable" although it doesn't turn as sharp as the Ducati. Also has killer
brakes, and fairly strong acceleration. You should easily cut some serious
time off your lap times on the Kawasakis or Ducatis. (after just 4 laps on a
Kawi, I cut my previous best lap time by a full second) Unfortunately, after
riding all the other bikes, the Honda seems mediocre compared to the rest. :/
I also wish the bikes sounded different for each make. I'd love to hear the
V-twin of that Ducati! Also your on-board view stays the same, no matter
which bike you're on. :(
