On the East Tennessee riders forum there was discussion of salt on the
road Sunday, mostly on the centerline and edges. The rain Monday should
have cleaned it off.
From what Aitch posted, Ghost may not have known US 441 through Rocy
Mountain Nat'l Park was closed due to a landslide. Here's a link to the

There's a link on that page to a map showing alternate routes.
Depending on where you are and where you are going, there's an alternate
a little farther south of there, the Cherohala Skyway. It had a
landslide this winter as well, but they have made a detour.
