Hi everyone,

I am now going to show my lack of knowledge by asking:
"What model was it that they used in the movie "Harley Davidson and the
Marlboro man"?".

I am in this lucky position that I finally have been able to save up a
fair amount of money which I am going to use to buy a bike.
I have always been utterly fascinated by the bike Mickey Rourke is
riding in this specific film.

Was this a manufactured model or was it a re-engineered bike?
In any case which model comes closest to the above mentioned bike?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ken

I'm guessin' it's an FXRS w/ Wide Glide conversion front forks, another
poster in another thread say's the bike was put together by Bartels H-D.
Best pic I found is at site below.

way back when i woked at another magazine that sounds a lot like HOT BIKE, i
wrote a fairly compreshensive article on that bike. i actually rode it for
three weeks, daily.
the 50k bartels was asking for it was AFTER the movie was done and everyone all
over the world was asking to buy it. a classic example of supply and demand

howard kelly
97 fxd (100hp at the rear wheel)
98 project softail (93hp at the rear wheel)
98 buell s3t (hard to keep the front wheel on the ground)

shut up and ride
