OK maybe, but let me get a couple rounds fore we head out in the am, and
before I head out to find a welder. :-/

Been doing a whole lot of wrenching this week, in preperation for this
weekends trip. I'll be damned if I'm gonna sit on the side of the road
talking to Bear on his cell phone all weekend, again!
Sooo.....I go for a shakedown ride last night. Still got a little bit of
white smoke, but running like a champ...nothing that is jumping out at me as
something that is gonna crap out on the way to Ohio.
Heading down 9, wait for traffic, downshift to 1st, make my turn.....
OH holy hell!!! The fuggin tank shift breaks/falls off the bike!
Good thing I didn't let go of the clutch, I'da run the piece 'o crap over.
got just enough cable on it, so I held it in my lap, and nursed it, in 1st,
the couple blocks to my house. (pics posted next door under *quality
aftermarket parts*)
I hate to leave in the middle of a whole bunch of conversations...but I
needs to find me an _unbusy_ welder, right now!
Have a couple more on me, hell have a couple for me!! ;)

On a good note, the van, with it's brandy new warrantied tranny, got dropped
off this am.
I may have to cage it, again, to Eddie's, but here's hoping not!!
