I don't know where the time is going these days. Anyways... Me and
Mrs......no no, Mrs Aitch and I are desperately attempting to learn a little
bit more Italian than we did last year because ... We're going back again
for the merry month of August. Hope to be leaving on 08/02 but in the
finest traditions of slugdom no plans have been made. We haven't booked so
much as a ferry ticket let alone contemplated where we're going to stay.
I will get around to posting the rest of Italia 07 but it might be after
Italia 08.
Hope everyone is well, our regards to you all.
Now please forgive me as I lurk here a while with a large cold bottle of
Becks.
Cheers

Howdy Howie,
Sounds like you and Mary are gonna have another fine time. What areas
are you going to explore? Mama sends her regards.

Ciao bella!
Sorry, that's the extent of my Italian. Oh, except call Mrs. Aitch
Dolce (dol-chay) once in a while, it means sweet.
Have fun!
Dana (wait, bella is feminine, I think. Sorry...)

Hey Aitch. If you find yourself in Abruzzi, find a town called
Venafro and see if there's any Roccias left there. Make 'em buy
youse a drink if there is.

Hey PB
Nice to see you in here. Where are we going, a very good question my
friend. We literally haven't given it much though, Dolomites, Sicily, go
see the lovely people who so kindly helped us out, a beach. Once we get to
the border we'll see what happens and where Mr Bike takes us : ) I do plan
on taking the same route through Switzerland as I did last year, I want Mary
to see Lake Geneva from Montreux at sunset and the St Bernard Pass. After
that anything goes.
First though I really think I should swap out my cam chain tensioners...
Say Hi to Mama from us
Cheers

Hi Dana, Hey your Italian isn't that far behind mine, I'm afraid to say!!!
Me thinks we'll be relying on a trusty phrase book. I like Dolce, makes a
change from some of the goofy names I do call her.
Thanks for the good wishes, we'll have a blast.
Cheers

Hey Roach, I'll do better than that. I'll find the place and any remaining
Roccias and make 'em buy you a drink, and I'll drink that one as well : )

PS I apologise for not quoting Papaboops message correctly, just getting
used to a shiney new laptop with Vista Ultimate.
What areas are you going to explore?
PB
Looks like we might be going to Venafro to demand beer etc... See Bill post
below.
Cheers

Would it be any of these:-
Giuseppina Roccia
Nicandro Roccia
Pasquale Roccia
I see many drinks coming my way : )
Aitch (not Roccia)
Could be any of them. I hear the name is as common as Smith
over there.
Be careful, though. I don't know exactly why my grandfather
left there to move to Philly in 1905.

Hey Roach, if ya like, send me some old family history, names places etc.
Then if we pass that way we can do a bit of snooping around, take pictures.
Cheers
Aitch
I know nothing of the pre-move-to-America days. All I know is
my grandfather Antonio and his brother Carmen moved to Philly
from Venafro in 1905, he was 17 years old, had 9 dollars and
his listed occupation was 'peasant'.
Find some Roccias and make shit up.

He'd actually then be calling her something more like
"dessert"...which may not be a bad thing <G>
More properly would be "innamorata".
Really? You get to decide what a man calls his wife?
Interesting. Is that some sort of a franchise thing?

Huh? I'm just offering the correct Italian. He can call her anything
he likes...
