Well, despite our best efforts to avoid winter illness, my precious Angel
and I have been knocked flat on our backs by pnuemonia. Not a good thing for
anyone, and really dangerous for my gal. She's doing pretty good so far, and
I have to check in with her doctor by phone everyday. Got the med regime on
a roll and she is holding pretty steady at 99 degrees. They said we've got a
couple more rough days to go, then we should be over the worst of it. Thank
goodness she is a better patient than me! She said she won't watch movies
with me anyone unless I stop crying when the gal in Xmen 2 gets swallowed up
by the flood. <g>
OK gotta go read Cross Country Day 11. You sure have a way with words, Dave.
I'm riding right along with you!!
Stay warm my northern friends, and somebody in a warm part of the country,
go take a ride for me!

Sorry to hear y'all have the poonermoania. Been there and it ain't fun.
But, hopefully the worst is over and y'all are on your way to healin' times.
Prayers headin' up for both y'all; one for you, and at least two for the angel.

Hey what 'bout us Southerners who're freezin' in the morning when it drops
to 22 degrees? My blood done thinned out way too much to enjoy anything below
about 45!
And speakin' of fishin' - The crappie and white bass are tearin' 'em up in
the intakes to the power plant. We've been having "eatins" a couple times a
week. Mmm, good! Fresh filets, hot water cornbread, beans 'n' rice, gumbo,
venison chicken fried steaks, mashed taters, and even some crawdad etouffe.
Sometimes it's hard to b'lieve they have to pay me to work!
Again, Traci, hope y'all are getting better. Take care of your angel (and
yourself).

Yeah, she kinda plays Cyclops and Wolverine against each other a bit.
Anyway, I think Wolverine screwed the pooch when he turned Mystique

Goddammit, I knew admitting on here that I was from the South would
come back to haunt me someday!
Anyway, FYI, in my clan we got a rule: anything closer than half-sib
is off limits, and all the ones in my family have the same parents.
Leaves me stuck with first cousins as the nearest targets...

Unload the sidecar (still loaded with everything shown in the link above)
New tires on Layla (hack too)

My problem is how to keep it on the ground. Turn right and adjust the
front wheel and you can ride it around forever showing the bottom to
the world.
And I'm sure you can figure out how to show your top to the world too.

I've had mine in the air several times, but haven't tried keeping it there.

Yea, I resemble that remark. I love the feeling of the
transition of driving the hack to the almost normal
counter-steering of two wheels.

::shudder::: That scares the Gatorade out of me!
See...I'm convinced I won't ever ride 2 wheels again. That's ok by me..well,
not really. But, whatever. I'm still riding.
THEN I find out that 3rd wheel doesn't touch the ground much. eeek
I've been eyeing an advanced hack course in Mass. Hopefully time and cash
will come together this spring. I'm thinking I need to learn, in a more
controlled environment, how to control the skying. Then I won't be the
slowest Slug on the twisties.
Hell, if I can get comfortable with the idea of being on 2 wheels...well,
thats a thought for another day!
Today, it will be 3...with 100# of sand in the hack. <g>
I did it BIG time, by accident, riding out to Rochester one weekend.
something blew in my front master cylinder and I had brake fluid pouring up
my arm! I pulled into a rest area rather too quickly and the friggin hack
was pretty damned close to my head!
Snapped it down and pulled into a parking spot. Hit the kill switch, closed
my eyes and hugged the tank.
(didn't help that I was hung over enough to die)
It wasn't until I stopped shaking and opened my eyes that I realised that I
had pulled in next to a cop....that was lauginh his ass off!
How rude. <sfsf>
