(although some of my friends have asked how I manage to fold my legs
up like that - I have a 36 in inseam).
I've never sat on a Hugger - the seat is less than an inch lower, but I
think
the controls are placed about the same.
I really like the 883 (1999 model). First bike I have owned - back to riding
after a 27 year absence. Should have bought a bike a lot sooner :)

Unless specs have changed in the past 10 years, the Hugger has a lower
seat height than the standard 883. All other factors (seat to pegs,
etc), remain the same.
I'd suggest asking for a test ride on both beasts.

the hugger and the standard 883?"

I'll second the advice about the test ride. That's the only way you'll
know which bike is right for you. I'm 5' 6" , and my Hugger fits me
fine, and without forward controls. But, comfort/riding position is a
very individual thing. Good luck!

That depends on if you're a 275 pound "six feet", or 150.
I agree with the rest, try to test ride it.
