Interested in the Dual Sport DRZ-400S, I thought I'd look at Suzuki's web
site. Problem is, I'm not sure I believe what I see. The published seat
height of the dirt-only model is 36.8", and for the 400S is 37.2". I
thought that most Dual-Sports were shorter than their Dirt only
counterparts - a concern considering my 30" legs.

Yes the seat height is what you saw.
I am 178cm and its no problem to handle the dirtmodel.
Its a really nice bike, but i dontlike it in mud.

I just picked up a yellow and white DRZ-400S today and I wear 32" jeans, I
would rather the seat be shorter but I can live with it. If you really only
have 30" inseam I would consider the DR650SE that seat is much lower.
