ATV/OHV Enthusiasts,

I am in the early stages of creating a Phoenix ATV/OHV club and would like to know of anyone interested in assisting me in creating the club, as well as anyone interested in joining the club. Today, the only club covering the Phoenix area is the Arizona Trail Riders, which is solely focused on motorcycle riding. What I would like to create is a club focused on ATV and OHV opportunities within Arizona for quads, motorcycles, three wheelers, sandrails, etc. The organization will promote responsible, legal riding. The organization will be an advocate for the preservation and creation of riding opportunities within Arizona. The organization will assist existing agencies like the Arizona State Parks, US Fish & Game, Bureau of Land Management, Arizona Trail Riders, Arizona State Association of 4-Wheel Drive Clubs, National OHV Conservation Council, and more in charting the future of ATV/OHV use in Arizona.

If you are interested in riding opportunities in Arizona and would like to be part of a OHV/ATV club that will have the same focus, please contact me via email. I look forward to hearing from you.

Have you considerd the idea of getting the Arizona Trail Riders club to help
you get started? It would seem to be a good starting point in the fact that
you would be creating a good working relationship with the 'Rival' club
right from the start!

I think that in this day & age of the greenies wanting to shut down anything
that isn't exclusively accessed with hiking boots, that it would be a smart
move. Strength in numbers. If you have any doubts just look at what is
happening to PWC access at some of the lakes in AZ (Roosevelt and I assume
that Meade and Powell will follow).

It could be a mutually beneficial situation for both clubs...in my
experience, NOBODY cuts better trails than the motorcycle riders and NOBODY
hauls equipment for trail maintenance better than the ATV crowd.

For what it's worth,

JBB

JBB,

I am working directly with them. They have been very supportive. In fact,
one of their board members offered to assist me in creating the club. Thanks
for the advice.
