I'm looking for recommendations in the Dallas area for powder coating
and frame welding. I want to strengthen my KLX frame at strategic
points. I have one welder and one powder coating recommendation so
far. Can someone here recommend anyone?

Thanks.

If at some point you are not satisfied with the available welding
reccomendations, you might try to get a hold of "Weekend Frame" east of
Dallas. maybe 972 area code. Have not talked to them since they moved
from the street behind us.

They (he) builds top fuel dragster frames, clutches, triple clamps, etc.
price wont be cheap, and time frame, I dont know.

Son of a gun is the best damn welder of Aluminum and Chrome-moly I have
ever seen in my life. Aerospace qualifed.

Not to mention we have had him make footpegs, brake levers, weld rims,
etc.

Scott,

Randy Nerren a fast 40+ rider just had his Honda frame powder coated.
It looks great! I have been thinking about doing it to mine as well.
I should see him at Mosier this weekend and I'll find out where he had
it done at.

Take care,

Todd

I can probably recommend the same powdercoat place. Everett and me had our
frames done at the same place. They did a great job.

I know a great welder here in arlington that has a machine shop and does custom
Harley work. He welded my AC condenser thingy(the one inside) and did some
work on the Scott's bracket for the GasGas. He did a great job. Might be
further than you want to drive. If not let me know and I'll dig up his shop
number.
