I'll be spending some time in San Francisco this summer and wonder if there
are anyplaces in the area that rent dirt bikes and offer organized trail rides.

If anybody is aware of any please e-mail me direct.
Thanks in advance

Don't know about ANY dirtbike rentals in the Bay Area, streetbikes yeh sure:
Harleys and BMW's anyhow. Hmmm...would a BMW 650 Funduro "dirtbike" work...?

Well, I live in Marin County and have never heard of a dirt bike rental place in
SF. Too many people around here are tree-hugging hippy conservationists who hate
the things motorcycles "do" to the trails. Saw no ads in the phone book either,
nothing at 411. Then again, I do live in Marin....But, as said before, there are
harley dealers all over the place willing to rent one to ya....;0)
As for organized trail rides, you'd be lucky if you found anything. The closest
places to ride are Carnegie (crowded, steep uphills, good riding towards back of
park), Marshall, and Hollister. All are a good hour from SF. I believe one
requires membership, but can't remember if it's Holister or Marshall. I believe a
month ago SF got its first KTM dealer, so maybe SF might not be the best place to
look... Try some other cities near by.

Good luck finding one!

Gee, everybody know that the best 4-wheelin' vehicle made is the rental car.
I wonder if the same holds true for woods-whoopin' bikes.
