In addition to that, I'm sure you'll find that the plastic on the newer KX's
has changed in the last few years. Even small differences could be a pain.
I could be mistaken, but I believe the plastic has changed between 1992 and
1998. In fact, I am almost certain that it has changed. You should still
be able to get plastic for the 1992 from people like Acerbis.

Wouldn't that be a Cow of a different color? Sorry, couldn't resist. I see in
Dennis Kirk's catalog that the color choices are green, purple, or black
depending on which pieces you're talking about. It looks like some of the newer
pieces from the KX500 will fit, too.

As long as it's not powder blue.

Black is always elegant, at any occasion, formal and informal.

My '95 KX250 has a purple frame, swingarm, and subframe with black plastic.
Looks pretty good IMO and gets lots of attention because nobody can figure out
what the hell it is. Not a trace of green left on it.

Come on!!! Green is what makes it a kaw!! how could you take all the green off?
Wasn't me who took off the green, it was the previous owner. I will admit
however that I like it this way (black and purple) better. If it was all
green I couldn't make fun of the orange KTMs! Personal preference I guess.

I would second that. I have seen/driven Jon's Purple and Black KX250 and it
is a great looking/riding bike. I put a Black front fender on my '93 KDX200
and I think it improves the looks from stock (My 3 yr old son likes it
better too so it must be true :-).

Jon, I'm proud of you.
To the original question:
Black, Green, and purple.
Acerbis and UFO (cheapest) make the best looking plastics.
Maier is thinner, but less prone to breakage.
Ceet makes an all black "gripper" seat that looks good and really grips.
Ceet also makes a regular black seat with Kawasaki on it.

Me, too. Best looking KX I've ever seen.
