A while back there were a few people that posted some sites on the
web that do insurance through the mail. Anyone know of any good insurance
companies with reasonable rates that insure dualsports?.

Thanks

Progressive doesn't sell motorcycle insurance in NC. Any other
recommendations for coverage in NC? My (State Farm) agent got this
real confused look on his face when I asked him about OHV coverage.

Mine covers me on here in CA on the KTM. I think with State Farm it may be
discretionary from agent to agent, like whether they will cover your guns -
they can choose to not provide coverage here.

Does Progressive? I have the NRA thing, but it seems like one of those useless
fruitcake add-ons you get, like for a Hertz discount with an AMA card that I've
never been able to use...

I don't insure any of my bikes with USAA. Their motorcycle premiums are
high, anf they do not like sportbikes or dirtbikes. They were also one of
the big pushers behind the sportbike "blacklist" a few years back. Now, for
cars, houses and airplanes, USAA is just great.

I use Progressive. Cheap at my age and location.

He was going to sell me a policy on them, but he had no idea how to
calculate it. I think he came up with something like $100.00/month
for a 94 Husaberg and an 00 TT-R90 (at the time). I haven't really
shopped it any further other than checking the Progressive Web site.

I think they do everywhere except NC and maybe DC.

Does it include any sort of liability coverage?

It has liability coverage, although I'm not sure about the amounts. I opted
out of any crash damage coverage.

Try this:

http://www.integon.com/

When I went in last Thursday to add another vintage bike to my policy, I was
informed that they
will now cover up to 9 motorcycles.

Thanks. They list OHV coverage in NC. I will contact them tomorrow.

Thanks for the lead.

I actually found out that GEICO is pretty damn competitive. 2
24.25 per month with liability 100/300 , medical coverage, roadside assistance
etc.. I just got this quote 15 minutes ago. I'm going to try one more company
but it looks like GEICO is probably going to be the best for me. If I take the
motorcycle safety course I'll save a bit more.
