So...on to my question. What the heck is this Yamaha 360 Enduro? I THINK I
have an RT-360,
but the whacked out part is the VIN starts with 446. What the heck's up
with that? I thought that
with Yamahas of this vintage the first few digits were the model number. I
was expecting to see an
RT or a DT or a SOMETHING, but NOT a 446! Hmmm.....
To give some detail, the bike's original color was a lighter metallic green.
The strange part is the
thing DOESN'T have side exhaust, but the exhaust of the MX, right there
under the seat. Again,
what the heck's up with that?!? I know....someone in the history of the
thing put an MX exhaust
on an Enduro. Well...that would be my first take too, but that takes me
back to this oddball 446
starting the serial number.
Anyone out there know ANYTHING about what I got? The oil tank says Enduro,
the exhaust
(to me anyhow) says MX, but the serial #'s throwing me for a loop. Since
the lights are hung on
it, I know I don't have an MX. Okay...so I have an Enduro. The icing on
the Enduro cake is it's
NOT silver. Wasn't every MX of that period silver? That's the way I
remember it, course I was
just a kid then. Guess I could call Yamaha, but I thought I'd throw it out
ot the group and see what
ya'll thought.

heaven on wheels...rub it in.
Bring the serial to the nearest Yammie shop.
They´ll prbbly be able to tell you exactly what it is.
If not...is it a bike for you or for trade?
If yours, why care what you should call it?
Replacement parts (if not found on the shitload of donorbikes you have)
might be obtained by bringing it to a dealer...
