Does anyone have a recommendation on a performance pipe for a KX60? I am
looking at a FMF K29 or a Pro Circuit pipe. I am wanting to increase
lowend without loosing mid and top. I know there are others, what do you
recommend?

I put on a Pro Circuit pipe on my boy's KX60 last year and it did make
a difference, really screams now. He's been taking 1st and 2nd places
at the local races. probably a combination of the pipe, tuning and
gained experience.

One thing I seemed to notice at the Am Nats is that all the team green
guys are running FMF on their bikes when the can. Several are contracted
PC guys so they are running PC stuff... but if you look at the mini
riders in the 60 class its all Gold Series. James Stewart could be the
reason for this though, as what kid doesn't wish he could ride like James.

For those that have never seen him, James is almost as fast as Ricky was
at the same age.

He is now 12 racing the 80cc class against 16 year olds and he is "RIGHT
THERE!"

Ricky... he is smoking the 125 and 250 "B" Class down here in Fla right
now. He is still a little squirt, but hey... he can run with the big
dogs! LOL

There is a reason why many of the Team Green kids are running FMF.
FMF has put a great deal of effort into development of new pipes,
and they work! You can select the pipe that suits the riders
style or track type. For example: torque pipes for more bottom
and midrange; or rev-pipes for mid and topend power.

The other great thing about FMF is the great support they provide
to serious racers around the country. When you bring your bike
up to the big red FMF hauler ... they provide first class help.

I know this sounds a lot like an advertisement ... but I don't
work for FMF. My kid is one of those Team Green riders who
has a fast bike because of FMF products.

Thanks for the input... I have always liked the FMF pipes for myself, just
wanting to know who works for the 60s. I only wish I could get FMF pipes for
my Cobra and 50 SXRs.

Thanks to all!

Guess what... the 96 Cobras come with an FMF Fatboy pipe on them! I
believe that I was told that they created a full 1.5 horsepower more on
the dyno at the rear wheel! Thats some SERIOUS horsepower!

Point is that the FMF FBoy pipe should be available for the Cobra mini
cycle soon!

Yeah, I that's what I understand too... However, AMA rules require we
keep the bike stock. I understand I can not "upgrade" to the new pipe.
Anyone know different? Of course, I can't get AMA to respond to EMails on
the issue, guess I will have to call them.
