75-80. It tops out around 100, and it will take a while to get there, but it
will run the legal speed +5 mph happily. Depending on the headwind, it can
also suck gas like a SUV at those speeds. Well, an economical SUV -- more
like 30 mpg than the usual 50-55 mpg.
Also, the speedos are notorious; subtract about 5 mph from the indicated
speed unless you're talking 65 indicated by a GPS.

My buddy rode his DR650 on the above ride... we started out sticking to
65-70 in the interest of preserving his bike. We ended up riding at 80+
more often than not. That same bike now has well over 20k on it and he
finally had to replace the leaky base gasket. It hasn't had any other
problems.

On the OEM saddle? Better man than I. I put in about a 300 mile day last
year, with plenty of breaks for long hikes in the woods, and I didn't think
I'd ever walk again.

Yep.
The motto for street riding on a crappy seat is "stand early, stand
often." You have to stand up, reposition and just generally fidget a lot
to keep things comfy. Don't be afraid to look like a dork sitting with one
cheek hanging off of the seat to rest the other, or leaning forward to
rest your weight on your left arm on the tank, etc... be creative. ;-)
