The flag drops at about 5:46 and the CBR900 makes its first appearance
at about 6:00 <G>

Damnation! That CBR900 must go what - 140mph?
With the tail wagging about the whole way. I'd like
to try that. The ride back up the beach, not so
much.
Go fast. Take chances.
Mike S.
My beach is too short for that race.
Plus, you know... the roost thing.
I wonder if there's a prize for the leader at the halfway point. I
mean, that's turn one, so it's a holeshot prize, right?
Sickness.... <eg>
Not exactly the first word that came to my mind, but it'll do <G>
> That CBR900 must go what - 140mph?
I would certainly hope so. My 20-year-old GSXR will do 140, so will
the 22-year-old CBR600 Hurricane racebike in my basement.
Hmm...
> With the tail wagging about the whole way.
Yeah, I like how the roost was squirting out the side as he fishtailed
down the beach.
> I'd like to try that.
Me, too!

Well, even that wouldn't be so bad with the right tires. I can say
with some authority that deep sand on street tires is
rather uninspiring. Maybe I just needed a bigger motor?

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Well, never mind.

I dunno, but he had a BMW hot on his heels.

What fun, eh? Hey, why not?
And while we're at it...

Ok, now, I don't wanna hear anyone making fun of me for dualsporting
my SV anymore.

Sweet. Why can't a 450 be that quiet?
Well, I'd imagine that a 1000cc in-line 4 spends more of its time in
the lower revs than a 450 single when ridden off road, but that's just
a guess on my part <G>

Your bike is stuck in sand. How'd all that sand get on the
road?

the "incident" that brough tears to my eyes
soooo long ago....

Aye and a fine ditty that was. Somewhere amongst all of my belongings....I
still have a toolbox with an official "geeky" sticker and my DoD number
emblazoned upon it.
