I was wondering if anyone out there in cyberland could help me with my
'95 CR125. When I first start the bike it seems to blubber and smoke alot
almost like its bogged down. If I give it gas it seems to make it worse for
awhile until it warms up. Is this common?
Secondly the exhuast of the bike has an oil substance in it. It has been
this way since I bought it. What can this be from? Wrong gas/oil mixture?

Just an overview of what I have done already:
I just finished replacing the piston and rings plus replaced the crankshaft
seal cause I thought oil might be getting through.
I also returned all the jet settings back to the orignal settings. They
where way off when I bought the bike.
Since I replaced the piston and rejetted the carb the spark plug looks great
and the compression is back to where it belongs.

When the bike is warmed up it seems to run really good. I have raced it once last year and I
would like to race it alot more this year but the oil in the exhuast really bothers me.

Any help and/or comments would be great.

Tim

What oil and what ratio are you mixing? Have you repacked your
silencer lately?

If your SURE the jetting is right, you might try running ATF in the tranny
for a bit. If oil is seeping from a seal or through the center case into the
crank case, you'll smell it when it burns. Otherwise, seal up the exhauset
port and carb intake. Get a crank case pressure checker and see if you crank
can hold pressure. You need to consult the service manual for the actual
amount, but I wouldn't think you would test it at more than 5~7 PSI.
