Baja motorcycle death Perhaps o

This is a very early report I saw on the Compuserve RaceB forum re the
Baja 1000. They are a little touchy about using their posted info in
other places, but the unfortunate subject matter seemed timely to those
who may know the rider involved. I believe he was a Kawasaki rider.
Perhaps offroad.com has info.

I have no more information on this. If I hear more I will post. If you

Just got a call from a friend... Not officially confirmed but she said
that Bob Land in his class 7 truck got in some kind of accident and Bob
broke both his legs and his co-rider was killed. Unknown name. Not
exactly sur all the details or if it is so. Hope my info. is wrong. I do
know that David La Priak was killed by Jason Baldwin. Someone said Jason
and Robby were going the wrong way on the course and was racing. Fell
bad for Jason. Nice guy. If anyone one has any more info on the Bob Land
accident, please notify us. I'm not sure who his co reider is.

A rider was killed at the Baja 1000. Once ALL the facts are sorted out, we
will inform everyone about what happened. ORC had eight staff member at the
1000 so we all need to compare notes on this tragedy.

Dave Lapraik...he was actually killed on Nov 11. A memorial fund has been set
up and I think the address will be in the next issue of CN.
