At the races Saturday night, this 14 yr old wanted to race my 250 in the B
class... There was a "scout" checking him out and he wanted to do 125 and
250 B. I was racing 250C and I was the last race of the night so I said go
for it. :-) Uh oh... :-(

250B was the 15th moto and I was the 17th moto... OK, I can deal with
it... His first lap I am getting suited up and I hear the announcer:

" Jason Wade is comming on strong... He just passed for third... Ladies
and Gentlemen, this young lad is looking good tonight..." I am grinning
because he is riding my YELLOW TURD!!! "250C your on the gate... " Oh
sh#t! So I run to the starting line to tell them I need the class help up
for a minute... Seems they dropped a class and no one told me! "Jason is
now in Second place and we are not even into the second lap yet... He is
going to pass on the grandstand triple, he has it... OH NO, Jason went down
really hard..." I don't think he is getting up and his bike looks..." My
heart fell to the ground... Not just my bike, but I was worried about him.
So, I run all the way back to our pits and there is a swarm of guys
working on my bike. The only real damage was the Renthals were twisted
like a pretzel and down to the tank. They pushed the bars up and the
announcer called 250C last call so I took the bike and went.

I had a good start, Sherry says I was running 9th or 10th of 27 and on the
second lap I cased a double out of a turn and my bars went to the tank...
I couldn't get them back up so I pulled off. Second moto I took 13th
(although most didn't show up, it was 1:00 a.m.) of 14 riders. Everyone
was extremely tired and a couple of kids stuck around to watch my race.
One little guy, Zack, came walking to my trailer with his big huge first
place trophey and goggles he had won in the 60 class (he took 20 something
at LLs) and said Troy, you did better than I thought you would and man you
did all the doubles <LOL>. I said "Thanks... Hey, you got my trophey and
MAN! I got goggles too!" He looked and me and said "I'm sorry, you got
next to last" I laughed and said you mean I was battling for last place
and took second to last. Man, I can't even get the last place trophey! <LOL>

Tyler got his FIRST 60cc trophey!!! 7th place! He rode great! I had one
dad acuse us of cheating because his son usually battles with Ty and his
son took 11th... I just walked away. I couldn't let anyone get me down
because Ty was so excited. Oh, and Zack... As I was loading up he came
back and flashes this $20.00 at me and says I got $20.00 instead of my
trophey (it was a big marble trophey, DC gives good tropheys!)... He says,
"I sold it back to them so I can take my Mom, Dad and sister to the movies
tomorrow". Man, what a kid!

The yellow turd is not too bad, needs a rear fender, some bars and get my
pipe straightened out (again) and she will be ready for SF97! I guess I
can't say it has all the stock plastic anymore. :-)

It was a GREAT night at the races!!!

yes...I snipped out all of the unimportant stuff <G>. No, really,
condolences on the bike, but congrats to Tyler. As for the other dad,
they're everywhere. Glad it didn't spoil Tyler's night.
