NADA, right? I find Kelly Blue Book, http://www.kbb.com, much closer to
street price at least where the Colorado front range (where XR hold their
value well) is concerned:
1998 Honda XR400R
1-Cylinder
4-Stroke
400cc
Suggested Retail Value $3415

I think $3300 is a bit much for a 98 XR4 here in Ky. $2900 maybe even $3000
sounds more like it. No way $3400+.

My experience is that people pay way too much attention to price and not
enough to condition on used bikes.
If an average 98 XR is worth $3000, a really nice one should easily be worth
$3500 (or more) and a crappy one should be worth $2500 (or less). People
will sink $500 into plastic, graphics, pipes, handlebars, etc. before they
ride their bike the first time, but balk at paying $500 over market for a
immaculate, non-abused, perfectly maintained bike. False economy in my
book. Unless your into wrenching, pay a little more and go ride.
