Yea! I've gone ass over tea kettle a couple of times and the UFO
fenders are
still intact, (albeit a little scratched ;^) ). They turned white
where
they've bent, but the Acerbis would also.

Gary hows it going... just so you'll know. Most Suzuki's and at one time
another brand used nothing but UFO on their bikes. (the factory bikes). I
think it was Yamaha but I can't remember). I know that all through the 80's
and early 90's it's all Zook used.

Bummer about your front number plate. Zero stress area and it broke. That's
an odd one.

SO how have you been? Good I hope... dude, you had to love (being
sarcastic) that little flamefest I allowed myself to get involved in out
here. Sorry about that LOL

Peace and take care bro'

The UFO plastic I ran on my 95 YZ (about 5 complete sets) all seemed
to *almost* match the mounting holes and was different than the
stock....the radiator shrouds and side panels were more flimsy while
the rear fender seemed thicker and the front was about the same.

The black UFO plastic scuffed up really easily and looked bad after
one ride. Well, it didn't look too bad from 50 feet away.

The guides for the fork protectors were not made to the right specs
and the "band" that clamped to the upper fork tube was only about half
the width of the recessed area in which it was supposed to fit.

I still kept buying UFO plastic for it the whole time because they had
black and it was cheap.

The Acerbis stuff on my 94 620 (I think it is Acerbis) is much
heaver...also seems more brittle (time and crashes will tell).

From what I've seen, the UFO stuff is more flexible but not as
"accurately " reproduced. The Acerbis stuff is more brittle. It might
break where the UFO stuff might survive (barring any unusual
happening).

The rear fender lasted 2 rides on my RM 250... Now, it might have something to
do with me looping it out. :-) Seriously, it does look/feel a LOT cheaper
(more brittle) than the stocker.

A "me too" post. The UFO stuff looks like hell in a hurry in the
woods where you are scuffing through the branches constantly. It does
survive crashes *much* better than the Acerbis stuff which will snap
before it turns white. The UFO stuff will get white but stay
together. Funny too, I think Acerbis makes UFO's stuff.

I don't know much about UFO, but every Acerbis (pronounced A-Chair-Bees) productI
have every owned was high-quality stuff.

I've recently changed my WR's plastic over to dark blue and have found
that after crashing, the UFO plastic gets pretty white when bent. A well
placed propane torch pulls the blue pigment in the plastic into the
whitened area and looks as good as new.....almost. Don't actually point
the torch at the spot but you need to get the heat near the spot. Point
the flame away to the side and move the torchs'(?) emanating heat to the
area. Can only do it once or twice. It worked for me.
