XLR200 vs XR200

Hello all,
Newbie here..... can someone please explain to me wat is the diff
between a XLR and XR?????? Well.... in all the ways you could! Many, maybe
all of my friends still dunno wat's the diff. Thanks!

The XR is a dirt only version while the XLR is the dual purpose bike. The
DP bikes are usually heavier and have poorer suspension.

I don't think there is an XL200R, there is a XL 250R. You can street licence
an XR after adding some required componets and wind up with a more dirt
worthy machine. That's what Baja kits are all about. I have one on my XR600.

There *WAS* an XL200R, but only for a couple of years. In my garage I
have a stripped down '83 XL200R that is roughly equivilent to a short
travel XR200. There also was an XL250R, but it was discontinued in
about '86 or '87. More recently Honda made the XR250L along the same
lines.
