Has anyone else heard of this product? I heard that they
are small battery jumper cables that are small enough to fit
in a glove compartment and powerful enough to start a large truck.

Is this true? Has anyone else used or seen one of these before?
If this product is for real, then I would be interested in
getting some for me and my husband. We both own motorcylces
and do a lot of riding. We also like to be prepared for anything.

The cables I have now are just too clunky.

I'd be leary. I have a set of "emergemcy" jumper cables which were
part of a "highway emergency kit" I was given as a gift. The jumper
cables are of small gauge wire and when I tried to use them twice
to jump a dead battery, they were useless. When, on those two
occasions, I returned with heavy gauge wire jumper cables, the
dead batteries jumped to life. I still retain the little cables,
but doubt they would ever successfully assist me with a dead battery.
They may be helpful on "weak" batteries.

Without doubt, "large" trucks use large batteries, and small jumper
cables are suspect in functionality. However, for a motorcycle,
the smaller cables may be sufficient. I'd ask for a demonstration
before purchasing.

Actually, they are real and they work great. My wife started her
Cadillac with them AFTER some bigger jumper cables failed.
She keeps a pair in her glove compartment all the time.

I've not had a chance to try it out on my truck, but they
say it works.

I'm sure they have other products like it, but if your gonna
buy some, then make sure you get a "Tiny Tiger", because I know
that they work. But, I can't speak for other cables out there.

I got them as a gift a year ago, but now I'm pretty sure you
can find them in the Wal-Mart automotive section. I just saw
some there recently. They are a pretty neat idea.

Remember: Don't use jumper cables on a motorcycle unless you are coming from
another motorcycle battery. The available current through a motorcycle battery
is used during starting (Mostly street bikes) and if you hook up a car
battery: You get a much larger current surge which can blow the protection
diodes in your voltage regulator. (I've done this twice...)
Some motorcycles are equiped with current limiting devices, but don't count
on it. These devices are rarely advertised. My Vision 550 certainly will
blow its regulator under a car battery jump start (And the regulator
is combined with the 3 phase rectifier which forces the replacement of
a very expensive part)

I havwe a pair and they work GREAT! I have had them for years and will jump just about anything. I said on the box that they would even jump a small plane. I have used it on many cars and have never had them not work.
