If your talking 100% stock, without changing a sprocket, mine does about
140 km/h, which is close to 90 mph. It still is high in rpm and has enough
power to go faster if I'd change the sprocket.

Yes, as irreleveant as it is for dirt riding, I have indeed tried this
out on a stock '90 XR600 a few years ago geared up for a particular road
ride with an 18 inch front road bike tyre on the back (I vaguely
remember 15 or 16 front and 40 or 42 rear sprockets). As it was, it
could have handled slightly higher gearing.
Riding flat on the tank, the bike was clocked by another bike at 170kmh
(about 107 mph) on the road. I doubt it would have done anywhere near
this with a knobbie tyre on the rear, probably nearer 95 - 100 mph
