I am having a problem with my son's 2002 RM85. It boggs real bad at the low
end. When the rpm's are up it runs great. The dealer just tells me that he
needs to keep the rpm's up. I know there is not much of a low end on these
bikes but this is bad and something is wrong. I have changed piston &
rings, checked reeds, cleaned carb, adjusted air screw, and changed gas. He
still races like this but he needs to feather the clutch to try to avoid
the bogging. I keep telling him will fix it but I'm out of ideas. I am
looking for help on what to do next.

Thanks
Kevin

Your dealer is clueless. First step to getting the most out of it is
rejetting the carb correctly. Start out be going one step leaner with
the pilot jet. It wouldn't be a bad idea at all to repack the silencer
before you begin any rejetting.
