This clear coat sealed graphics stuff is too nice to keep smashing to
smithereens.
I'll poke around and see if there's any aftermarket stuff. Any hints are
appreciated.

Dean,
On trials bikes, (least in the past) you could buy fenders from gas, without
the decals, which means without clearcoat, and of course we could buy decals
ALA Carte, but not anymore. This was a trick because for some reason the
clear coat was making the plastic brittle (oh 98-02 ish) in cold weather.
We trials riders ride when it is below/close to freezing.

Thanks. I thought it was just me, but it seems like I used to be able to
twist a fender pretty severely and get away with it on my other bikes. I had
UFO stuff on My trusty old DT175e and that stuff took repeated beatings with
aplomb.

Yes, we ride in the cold too. It's often better than the summer. Spring is
nice.

Thanks again.

I seem to remember hearing that some year GGs used KX plastic? Am I
nuts? Don't answer that.

The only plastic that you need from GasGas are the radiator shrouds.
The rear fender, side plates and mud flap from the '95 KX250 work just
fine. Up front, choose any fender you want, but you will need to
drill the proper mounting holes. Headlights from the aftermarket are
superior, but I rarely need my light.

I feel for you.

I waited 2 years for some ATK plastic. I stock up when I can. Glad those
daze are behind me.

Solid advise for sure. I am squirreling away as
many GasGas plastic parts as I can afford, just
ask Jim.
That and since I broke my leg last year I've decided
to stop crashing too. That alone seems to make the
plastic last much longer.
BTW. I got dibbs on the next pair of black rad shouds
for a 97-99 EC that hit the market.

Yah, for the ATK I have a new rear fender & new sidepanels. Ebay got me a
used tank and airbox last year. Sometimes I think I almost have enough
parts to build another bike. I'm gonna keep the cracked and worn parts on
there until my son is done with the bike. I have a hunch he's gonna be hard
on it. He hits the ground more in one ride, then I do in an entire year.

Capital idea, that! For that matter, my worst injury didn't even involve a
crash, so how 'bout we say "No crashes or dabs"?

I keep forgetting. I should write "Don't crash" on my crossbar pad.

How's your leg feeling BTW?

I think my leg is trying to tell me "Get the hell back to the Dr.
and have that metal rod taken out!"
Some days it is more sore than others. More of an ache than
any real sharp pain. Although, my leg is also telling me, "Don't
EVEN think about trying to run. You do and I'll drop you like a
hot turd."
I tend to listen to my body, especially when it threatens me with
pain.

Hate to say this because there are some folks that don't like this
place, but GoFasters puts a LOT of plastic on eBay.

I got a couple seat covers for Arnett's bike from them and wasn't
disappointed.

Dean,
I no longer have a complete set of new blue "naked" plastics for
your bike in my parts stock, but I do have a complete set of red or
yellow naked plastics for your bike. (everything but the headlight,
anyway). I use a UFO Yamaha YZ front number plate for my bike. ('01,
I believe)

I saw these graphics for auction on ebay. He runs them
occasionally, but maintains an ebay store.

They are nice looking, and a decent price for a full set of graphics.

I have the shrouds that go with them, also. (2002 and later)

Graphicmx seems to be shipping again, also.

Gabe has the "color flame" graphics on his radiator shrouds.
They have help up well.
