I am compiling a list of dirt riding clubs and organizations nationwide.
This list will be a great boon to anyone moving to a new area or who
doesn't know of clubs near them. Please email descriptive and contact
information to me at jmo...@eng.tridom.com If you would like a copy of
this list and any future updates just send me an email asking for the
club list. I will try to post the list and this request periodically
to rec.moto.dirt.
Here is the current list of dirt oriented MC clubs, it still has a long
way to go, so I need _your_ help! I have not yet standardized the format,
I am just collecting the data and getting it out as quicky as possible at
the moment.
I have just reorganized the list to have regionnal clubs, and the all
the states listed in alpha order, so it should now be easier to find
the state your interested in.
Clubs listed by name only are known by me to exist, but I have as
yet to get full data on. Any help is appreciated and I would like
to heartfully thank all those who have contributed so far.

Description:
This is a rather large club that sanctions all the enduros here in
the NE. They issue you the card and all the other related stuff.
Then there are also a whole bunch of smaller local clubs for each
area. In MA there are a whole bunch. They usually have between 20
and 50 members. The list and their address can be obtained from
NETRA.

TIMEKEEPERS is a motorcycle club made up of mainly off road riders that are
interested in competing in District 36 enduros. The club has been in existance
since 1984 and has put on the following events:
The club meets every 2nd Wednesday of the month at "Never Never Land" (a Girl
Scout club house) behind Los Gatos High School. Time is 6:30pm. New members are
always welcome. There are no dues; we just ask members to work our event and
attend monthly meetings.

GARTRA is a GA area club which operates mostly out of Atlanta. They
sponser a great number of just-for-fun dual-sport rides and infomally
do plain dirt riding as well. I believe they have at least 200
members at this point, but that is a guess. GARTRA was primarily
responsible for the Wissenhant area being reopened for this year via
volunteer work for the park rangers.

- We're mainly into Enduros and recreational trail riding although
there are a few hare scramblers and MX types among us. We host
several NETRA sanctioned events per year. NETRA id the New England
Trail Rider Asso. and is the sanctioning body for most offroad
activities in NE. Our trail system consistsof 150+ miles in 3 state
forests, power lines and open land. The terrain is fairly technical
as is most of New England.

used to be called the Jack Noga and now is the NH Classic. The club
has over 100 members and is very active in preventing trail closures,

For information on this area you should contact the MIC
(Motorcycle industry Council) There are supposed to be 600 miles
of trail to be build in the future, but I think there has been
some conflicts with the private industries where the trails are
located.
