I'd like to buy a bigger tank for my '94 KX250. It doesn't have to be
pretty, slim, or anything besides hold gas. I only plan on using it
once a year anyway, for Colorado trips. There's no way I'm spending
$200 on a new tank for my old bike, that's not gonna get much use
anyway.
Also, if anyone has good ideas on how to carry on extra gas, I'm all
ears.

Thanks,
Jason

If you're all ears, how about stashing a gas can in one of your ears?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Would ear wax be compatable with synthetic or petroleum oil?

Look, cleaning out your ears with gasoline is just bad advice. Diesel has a
much lower flashpoint. Please don't start that up again.

Acerbis makes a front number-plate tank and a rear auxiliary tank, and somebody
makes side-panel tanks that hold a couple extra quarts of earwax...

I have a used 3.2 gallon IMS tank that will fit your bike. It has
reticulated foam in it to prevent sloshing. It is white/natural and
you can see the fuel level. $125, including shipping.

I also have an auxilary tank number plate (used) in the shop that I
will sell for $20.
