Hello,

I have a question on using Cam2 racing fuel. I am running a 1999 RM125 &
250. Currently I am using 92 octane fuel. Is it safe or wise to change to
Cam2 racing fuel which is around 105 octane. Is it better for the bike and
is it okay to change?

Thanks JR

If you plan on running the race gas full time then you should have the heads on
your bike modifyed so that it will have a higher compression and it will be
more powerful. The drawback would be that you would NEED the race gas and if
you ride alot at around $3.50 a gallon (around here anyways) that could get
expensive.

It is probably only better if you are experiencing pre-ignition or
detonation when running the 92 octane. With the higher octane
you MIGHT be able to get away with advancing the ignition
a few degrees, which might make for crisper response and
a tad more power.
