It has been a painful rehab so far. Earlier this week, I could finally do
pushups again. I'm back to about 80% mobility and maybe 60% strength. I'm
hoping to get back out again before the next snowfall for a little more
"rehab".
SCW and Mark, how are your wrists doing these days?

Mark
I'll be happy if I can do standard pushup in the next three months or
so.
Eric Myers
Sounds good! Hey, my wrist still hurts when I do the pushups. I can do
chin-ups fine, but pushing on the wrist still hurts. It's the only way to
get it back though. Riding the bicycle (non-motorized) has been the best
thing for it, next to stretching. It hurts under braking, but every time I
go out it feels better.
Keep at it.

My radius bone was broken into about 15 pieces right at the joint and back
for about an inch. Luckily it was only one bone, and one that gets pretty
decent blood flow. Yours sounds like a nightmare.
I was telling Mark earlier, the best way to get it working again is to:
- Warm up first
- Stretch it every which direction until you cry.
- Screw grabber screws into a soft piece of wood about 50 times every other
day.
- Wrist curls with what ever weight is appropriate.
- Stretch till you cry some more.
- Ice it after each and every time you reef on it. You can't see the
swelling / inflammation, but its there.
- Take lots of Advil after, but not before you work it out.
Pain is your friend until it is fully back. Too much and you'll get
tendonitis, too little and it won't come back and will hurt forever. It
will be stiff and sore every morning when you wake up. Time will not make
it better! It will just calcify with the result being limited mobility and
pain.
I've had 14 broken bones 10 of which were in the wrist / thumb area. Yeah,
Yeah, I know I'm a bone head. I've broken them doing everything you can
imagine. The bottom line is you need to make it hurt to get it going again.
Good luck with it!

Yeah, yeah, big deal ................ I haven't been laid all year. Or the year
before, or the year before that, or ............... Damn, where's that pistol?
Didn't you crash shortly after COSF on a double or something? Or was that
somebody else?
Wes
Mangled Mark
Big deal, me either....of course I'm married, so I have an excuse.
Jay
Oh, OK, that makes me feel better. I'll gladly trade 6 years of celibacy for
a couple cracked ribs.
|> Damn, now I'm depressed. Can I borrow that pistol?
Sure, no problem. Of course, thanks to the Fed's, I'll have to ship it to
you through a federally licensed dealer, and you'll have to wait 10 days
for a background check, unless your state has an instant check system in place.

You know they say there are two things that come from Oklahoma...
Which one was it Mark?<VBG>
Thanks for the tip about the board and screws I can see how that would
help quite abit.
I definatly haven't had the number of breaks you've had though I can say
from past experience that I never want to break a wrist or other
flexible area of my body again.
I'm scheduling a CT after the holidays so I can appease my surgeon and
know for sure that the bone has healed completely.
Eric
And from were Wes resides it's:

Wes, I found you a sulotion to your problem. You can check this site out.
KNow before you go wondering how I know about this place it was on Howard
Stern. What can I say, I think he is funny. He gets people to do the stupidest
things.

You know, I had to travel to Oklahoma for one of the jobs I had in Dallas. It's
amazing, but when I crossed over into OK, the IQ in both states went up.

Ok..so I'm a slut.. but I ain't a cheap slut..
I am free...and cheap makes people think there is money
exchanged..and I ain't never taken any money or tradable
goods. At least nothing you couldn't roll and smoke.
But that still doesn't make me a cheap slut. Just a high slut.

I am quite certain that butt sweat serves
