I used Krylon primer on plastic with a few coats of Krylon white
gloss. This is regular Krylon stuff not the Fusion paint.

I have a test piece from an old parts model where I did some of this
white with primer and some of it without primer. The primer seems to
be making everything more chippable. I can get a fingernail in it and
pop a chunk out easily. The non-primer side is extremely durable. It
takes a lot of effort to knock a chip out of the non-primer white
side.

I really wish I hadn't put primer on so many parts already. I love
the way this white turns out after I Micro Mesh it. I guess I'm going
to work on getting this primer off of that stuff.

It's Bandai plastic from about 1997. It's a 1/72 transformable
Macross VF-1S, so the paint has to be very durable.
