HG2 is now given as #30 Dark Green (same as the British color)
HB2 is #29 Dark Earth
HG4 is #27 Sea Grey
HG14 does not have a current match in Humbrols
HJ4 is no longer matched in Humbrols
The HG14 and HJ4 were some of the Authentics Line that were dropped
after the changeover. The HJ4 because the color was due to a mistaken
legend on Japanese colors and the HG14 as one that was unpopular (though
it was more accurate than the HG4 Dunkelgrau.

I'm trying to compile one. There was a little pamphlet the distributors
gave to the hobby shops, and there is the listing on each paint rack
under the current colors, but I don't think there is a complete listing
out in an easily found reference. When I finish with mine, I'll post
it. There is a web site, for which I've misplaced the URL, that has a
cross reference with Tamiya, Gunze, and Testors paints to Humbrols.
I found the following
HG2- dark green Gunge sanyo(?) H73, Tamiya XF 61
HG4- Sea Grey GS: H68, T: XF 54
HB2- Dark Earth GS: H72, T: XF 52
No luck with the other two
Regards
Andy

Some notes on this list:
1. Those colors designated with Roman numerals in parentheses are just to
track different colors with the same name (dark green, dark grey, etc.)
2. There may be other Authentic range codes for some paints that are not listed,
such as White and black where several Authentic lines may have had the
same flat or satin white or black.
3. Some of these equivalents are not really the exact same color as the old
authentic. For example, #102 = HB8, HI1 where HI1 was slightly
greener that HB8 or #102. Also, Humbrols Authentics Neutral Gray, N.S.
Sea Blue, and Intermediate Blue examples were not accurate to colors now
known or FS references. The new colors are given with Authentics
equivalents even when they have been corrected to FS standard. These
must be kept in mind when translating some of the old mixtures or
instructions using a color code for another area (e.g., if HU16 were
suggested for RAAF Azure this might have been right for the old
Authentic Intermediate Blue, but Australian Azure is not FS35164
Intermediate Blue.)
4. I have identified some colors that are no longer made, but easily mixed
from the current Humbrols:
Deck Bleached Teak HN4 = 1p #72 Khaki Drill + 2p #159 Khaki
Drab + 4p #103 Cream + 2p #34 White
Sand HI4 = 4p #94 Brown Yellow + 1p #93 Desert
Yellow
5. Several paints are listed with the same FS number, this is as listed by
Humbrol.
I am interested in mixtures and equivalents that do not appear on this list.

Also try the IPMS Color Cross-Reference Guide which is available form

everything to everything else. E-mail address is meteo...@aol.com.
