I'm using acrylic paints all the time for my planes and ships. Can you
dry brushing them using acrylic paints also? or should you use other
paints?

I have no problems with dry brushing them and am pretty happy with the
results. Try it out on a part from your spares box and see what you
think...

Michael,

Can you please give me some details on how you did it? Thanks

I usually use aluminum, steel or white paint depending on what color I
want highlighted. I put some paint on the brush and take a piece of
paper (newspaper, paper towel...whatever is handy) and brush until most
of the paint is off the brush or it is "dry". Then I lightly brush it
across the intstrument panel or cockpit sidewall or whatever it is that
has the raised detail I want to highlight.

It takes a bit of practice for sure. At the beginning you may end up
with too much of the highlighted color. The rule of thumb is better too
little than too much on the brush...

Michael
