Need to know if anyone has a website for the Jupiter 2 LIS-TOS (Lost in
Space-The Old Series). I need some pictures of the inside of the ship so
I can paint them. BTW, there is a flaw on the kit. Go to
www.polarlights.com and select the ship and they will tell you about the
hatch. It is up side down. And the elevator is offset some.

There is the official site of the LIS Classic series
http://www.lostinspacetv.com ). I have not been there in a while, though,
so I cannot vouch for the quality of any ship interior shops. Also, while
it is not the actual ship interior, Monsters in Motion
http://www.monstersinmotion.com/ ) has a pretty good picture of a
professionally-completed Lunar Models' J2 interior that I am also
referencing.

You have actually raised a good point. I have had some real problems
locating quality pictures of the ship's interior on the new. Even if when
you do get a pretty good picture, you have to know what season it is from,
'cause the ship changed rather dramatically from season to season. In fact,
it sometimes seems to have changed from show to show. Irwin Allen strikes
again.

Oh, well. I am lucky in that I have the complete video library, so I can
use that (even though I am loathe to leave my VCR on <pause> for too long).

For anyone who's still interested, I spoke with the product engineer for
Polar Lights and Ron Gross, who was a consultant for the new J2 model
kit and did the box artwork, for an article in the sci fi online
magazine I write for. The address is
http://www.eonmag.com/features/default.htm---scroll to the bottom of the
right-hand Features window and click on the Collectibles feature "Kit
Kats" (I didn't make up the title). The Polar Lights engineer addresses
some issues about past and upcoming kits that have come up here before.
There's also a brief review of the Polar Lights J2 in the Reviews
section. Enjoy and feel free to check out the rest of the magazine and
its vast archives of crap!
