Hi everybody,

A few months back I picked up a copy of Famous Spaceships
of Fact and Fantasy 2nd Edition. I just started to build the Enterprise D
Pg 51. My question is how were the phaser banks modified?
There is no mention of it in the article and I can't seem
to find a solution. If anyone out there has this book and knows
how it was done I would appreciate an answer.

Thanks
Craig

I see it too but I dunno how he did it... looks like maybe small strips
of styrene and wrapped.

Hmmmm...I'd like to know how it was done too. If he did use styrene
strips,
he did a really nice job. Look at where the phaser banks end, those
strips
are wrapped around perfectly.

I think I'd need a real steady hand to glue those tiny styrene strips.
I tried using .015 by .040. After wrapping the strip around the end, I
used
liquid cement at first, but the strip split in half. Then I used superglue
and
it didn't split. I did get the glue on my hands though while trying to
position
it.
