I wasn't sure exactly where to post this, please forgive me if this is
slightly off the center of the group.

I'm trying to repair or replace a plastic gear and am looking for
advice.

The gear is:
cylindrical
5mm high
4-6mm in diameter (4mm core with 1mm deep teeth)
fits on a metal shaft 2mm in diameter
made of some kind of plastic (I can't tell what kind)

The gear has 10 teeth.

The gear split along its length (between 2 of the teeth) and has some
lengthwise fractures. I tried gluing it back together with super glue
and with automotive glue, but neither held.

This gear is part of a favorite toy which I have no idea if is even
made anymore. I would appreciate any suggestions either on how to
repair it or where to find a replacement.

Please respond by email.

Thanks
