I've been working on one of these for a while- this is what I think may be
fairly close as far as the color goes- it seems to be very close to zinc
chromate green- but perhaps a little more blue. Also, there is the
delicate feathered effect from the panels on the top which are lighter on
the front an fading to the base color on the back. What I am planning to
do with mine is to mix up a batch of model master zinc chromate with about
1/16 part or less insignia blue. Then I plan to paint the whole model
this color and wait for it to dry. Then, mix up pastel chalk to get a
light green color and put it on the leading edges of the panels and then
brush it back to get a feathered effect (note- use an eraser shield to
keep from overlapping!) I plan to overspray the model with clear lacquer
to seal the chalk dust on- for your project, make sure you wet some of the
dust with water to get some idea of what it will look like when
oversprayed. I am thinking about drybrushing some of the details- like
what appear to be the radiators. I am also considering making some scorch
marks around the disruptor cannon and maybe around the phaser emitters.
Good Luck,

I used Testors Model Master _Green Zinc Chromate_ for the base color.
Then I used Testors Model Master _Pale Green_ for the feathered
highlights. I used an airbrush for both and I don't know if they are
available in cans. I LOVE the way it turned out and highly recommend
this color combination, whether they are the actual colors or not.
For the highlights, I cut several shields out of 3x5 cards that were
the same shapes (or close) as the panel lines molded in the kit. Then,
for each panel, I held the shield so that the front part would not be
sprayed. Then, when I sprayed the _Pale Green_, it feathered back.
This took me an entire day, but you should hear the nice things people
say.
