Also, what 1/48 F-14A kits come with drop tanks?
(FWIW, I want to use Superscale sheet 48-362 to build the CAG Bird "Miss
Molly" from VF-111 and it has some nifty little shark mouths for the drop
tanks.)
Thanks in advance

Once bought that kit (high-tech), but it gave me such trouble that I dumped
it.
Don't remember much about it, but the pod can be only one of two things:
If it is long, has windows and fits under the rear fuselage directly, it is
the
TARPS tactical reconnaissance pod; if it is short, rounded, and fits on one
of the rear AIM-54 carrier, it is a pilot's travel pod.
Additional tailfeathers usually means possible variation for GE-engined
variants, that is F-14B (former A+) or D.

The Hasegawa has'em; believe the Minicraft also does.

Go Hasegawa. You'll have to buy the missiles separately, though. Give me
the
BuNo of that Miss Molly bird, and I'll tell you if you can mount the TARPS
pod
on it. Not all As or Bs are TARPS compatible.

Are you sure you aren't talking about the Revell F-14D kit which is just
a modified ex-Monogram F-14A? In the -D kit, parts 104 and 105 are the
dual sensor pod which contains a television set (TCS) and an IR
tracker. The double barrel pod is only applicable to the -D model.
Also, the Hasegawa, Fujimi, and maybe Minicraft 1/48 F-14s come with the
external tanks.
Cheers.
