Does anyone know if the last two Fuchs stores are still open? I know that
after the chain closed down, the stores in the Fox Run Mall in NH and in
Hooksett (?) NH were the last to stay open, but I don't remember if they
were kept open to liquidate remaining stock or if they are still open.

If you have an answer, please e-mail me, as I have not been checking the
newsgroup much lately.

Thanks.

I recall going up to the Hookset store several years ago during the last
close-out day. I bought lots of stuff at discount, and was told by the
clerk that the bank had called in a few loans and the chain was finished
at that point.

(The clerk was also smoking at the register and blaring rock music. It
was a pretty interesting "fall of Rome" feeling.)

<<the stores in the Fox Run Mall in NH >>

Hi-
The store in the Fox Run Mall has been gone more than two years. I
cannot comment on the other store.

I can confirm that they are all closed. I know the woman who used to order all
their inventory. She was a family member of the family which ran the stores.
She tipped me off on their mark downs as the stores closed. Looking back I
wish I had stocked up more than I did.

Typical story, they couldn't figure out how to make money in either their mall
stores or their small local stores.
