Hi all,
just saw the 1964 James Bond "Goldfinger" movie yesterday and was wondering
what kind of planes the Pussy Galore's "aerobatic team" were using in the
movie. It said "PIPER" on the engine cowls and it could be the Piper
Tomahawk. Judging from the only photo of the Tomahawk I could find, I think
the a/c in the movie were slightly bigger and chunkier.
To sum up: is there a plastic scale model of this plane? I guess decals
would have to be custom made.

Great movie, BTW
(..and I hope the subject line won't cause too many heated comments
...>:-> )

It was a Cherokee if I recall correctly.
I think Airfix is reissuing their kit.
re: Goldfinger I would prefer a decent Lockheed Jetstar kit tho.

Now, there's a model destined for the 'adult' room! Even the title will get the
prude's bent out of shape!

Before everyone got off on a tangent, it appears the original question was what
airplane was Ms. Galore's flying circus flying? The answer is early Piper 140
Cherokees.

The Austin Powers movies tend to spoof on these names also. In the
lastest AP movie there was a Russian gal named Ivana Humpalot. The
Austin Powers character is a satire of James Bond.

I am not real very interested in what kind of plane it was that she
flew. But that she make
real sure she flew it more than 5,820 feet
off the grourd. For a while anyway.
