At 12:05am 01/01/00 at DBMS in Maryland, a 2 1/2 ft. tall homemade
rocket lifted off on a Aerotech G-40 motor. The flight was nominal but
angled slightly over Eastern Bay due to a slight possibility of recovery
system failure. Parachute was deployed at appogee by the telltail orange
ball of fire from the recovery system but was not visible at deployment.
The rocket was recovered though, completely intact 100 ft. from the
launch pad 12 hours later. Praise GOD!
