I bought Realflight Basic a few weeks ago, not realizing that it was a
stripped down version of another product. Finding out that the more
expensive version offers tips, makes me wish I had done a bit of
research.

I contacted the developers and apparently their is no way to upgrade
from one to the other. Anybody think it is worth paying the 199 bucks
for over the 99 I have already spent? The fact that they have no
upgrade path makes me want to go with another product honestly but I
am hesitant to do that as people seem to like it alot.

Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks, I took a look at the latest version of Phoenix and think I am
going to go with it instead. I like that it is a little cheaper, works
with my own radio and the add on content is free? Realflight not
having an upgrade path for basic just annoys me too much to buy
another product from them.

I agree, if you spend your money on the basic version, they should have an
upgrade path to the full version. I have Realflight G4.5, it's nice but the
heli's don't fly right in fast forward flight. If I bought Basic and they
didn't offer an upgrade path, I would upgrade to another product like
Phoenix or XTR.

I think I caught the answer to my question, but I am having a senior
moment or just plain dumb. Probably just plain dumb!! I also bought the
Realflight basic and am not really thirlled with it. Am I to understand
that I need to only buy the software, being that the controller that
came with the basic will work with Phoenix??
Thanks
Don
