My new laptop has no parallel port, I have connected a USB hub with a
parallel port. The computer recognises the port but still no interface in
the controller drop down options.
Any ideas.

That's because the USB to parallel port adapters are only designed for
printing - they don't provide a full spec parallel interface. The only way
to connect is to buy a PC card to parallel port adapter, and they're
expensive!

Same problem here - Called up Tech at GP - They advised the Gameport/USB
adapter from www.usbcable.com. It's the only one they recommend and have
tested to work with their controller. Just placed my order for it. Hope
they're right.

Go to www.simblaster.com They have an Interface cable that is better
than the one from GP for the Realflight deluxs and G2.

What a load of crap! This simulates a joystick so it only transmits 4
channels. The parallel port interface from GP transmits 8 proportional
channels.

Could you elaborate please.
Are you saying the simblaster will only operate 4 channels because of
the gameport interface ???
What if you put a HiTec Flash 5 with 5 channels on the simblaster?
What will work and what won't ?
Thanks.
