Today I was looking for the Great Planes "easysport 40 ARF" at the
lowest possible price. I found it at ehobbies.com for $114,99, but
hobbees.com says that they will match any price -and-! give
another 10% off that price! I checked, and hobbees.com
sells the same plane for $119,99. Lucky me, I thought, they
will match $114,99, and in addition to that they will knock
off 10%. I figured out that I could get the plane for
$103,50 from hobbees.com, and got Mike at
hobbees.com on the phone:
Me: I would like to order the Easy sport 40 ARF please.
Mike:Ok
Me: I see that if I can find stores that sell it cheaper,
you will match it and cut 10% of _that_ price.
ehobbies.com sells it for $114,99, The
Easy sport will be $103,50 then from you guys.
Mike:No, we can not do that!
Me:Ohh.. but you say so on the front of your webstore..?
Mike:I think the guy that made our webstore says a lot
that I dont agree on.
Me:Does this mean you are not going to honor what you say
on your webstore?
Mike:Click!(he hung up!)

This will be the last time I even consider buying anything from
hobbees.com or any business that is related to their parent
company "what sounds good inc.".
The honorable thing for them to do in a situation
like this is to keep their word, (sell me the airplane for the price
they promised) and then go in and change the promises on
their webstore that they cannot honor.

I dont think they have much of a future if they keep up this
dishonest and rude behaviour.

Thanks for listening.
